Come hang out, have fun, enjoy a drink and/or snack, and meet your fellow faculty!

"Beach and Back" Walks - stay tuned for tentative spring walks!

  • The walk is 2.6 miles round-trip and take about one hour.

Campus Resources Available for Faculty:

  • Campus Pool
    Faculty can swim for free on Tues/Thur from 11:00-12:30pm and Fridays 8:00-10:30am
    Carrie Dalton's review: "This is one of the most beautiful, saline pools I've ever enjoyed. And it's right here! Showers are great too. Take a break and go for a swim!"

  • Cosmetology Salon
    Are you aware of the on-campus salon that provides a variety of services from manicures, haircut and color, to facials? Many of the services are free or reduced (from already-low) prices to SMC faculty. For example, haircuts are FREE and manicures are $5.00. They are located in the Business Building.
    Angie Misaghi's review: "I have been getting my haircut (for free!) for the past year at the salon and I have been very happy with the results. The student stylists are experienced and/or supervised by licensed stylists, and I haven't had a bad cut yet!"

Past Events

  • Bill Selby lead us on a hike at Topanga State Park on Saturday, October 8 at 10:00am. There was about 11 of us who joined and it was a great trip - a fun, educational, and energetic hike!
  • The final "Beach and Back" walk was on December 6. Stay tuned for future walks in spring (tentative)!
