  • Alephonsion Deng will be the speaker for 2012 Black History Month; he was one of the original "Lost Boys of Sudan."  Come hear him tell his powerful personal journey, February 23, 11:15 a.m. in ART 214
  • Tupelo Hassman (03/08), Tom McNeal (04/17), Lory Bedikian (05/01), and Cassandra Love (05/10) are the speakers for the Literary Series.  All are held in HSS 165 at 11:15 a.m. Come listen to the intimate readings of their own works from these respected authors
  • Want to know the secrets to happier life?  Dr. Rakesh Sarin will be the UC Press lecture speaker in the Spring,sharing exactly just that. "Engineering Happiness: A New Approach for Building a Joyful Life" is the title of his talk:  March 20, 11:15 a.m. in HSS 165
  • From our signature Global Connection Lecture Series, we will hear from Lisa Napoli, author of Radio Shangri-La (04/19), and Wolfgang Drautz, the German Consul General, will talk about Europe and the German Perspective, a timely topic you will not want to miss (05/24)  Both lectures will be held in HSS 165 at 11:15 a.m.
  • Our annual Rocky Young Lecture is scheduled for April 27 at 7 p.m. in HSS 165.  This year we have the pleasure of Christine Schultz, Chair of the Social Science Department, as our speaker.  "The Millennials: The Most Consequential Generation" is her topic.  Intrigued?  Slightly curious?  You know where to find her!
