YMF Debut Chamber Orchestra 2017/18 Season Opening Concert

Music Director Yuga Cohler and Conductor-in-Residence Lawrence N. Field lead the YMF Debut
Chamber Orchestra in a program featuring the On the Waterfront: Symphonic Suite by Leonard Bernstein, The Moldau by Bedřich Smetana, and La Mer by Claude Debussy. The Young Musicians Foundation is dedicated to helping youths ages 11-18 develop their abilities and passion for music during the pivotal early years of their careers. Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker Ballet

The SMC Symphony and SMC student dancers partner once again with the Westside Ballet for its annual holiday Nutcracker extravaganza. Come see the Sugar Plum Fairy, the Prince, and all the other wonderful characters in Tchaikovsky’s classic come to life—with falling snow and a Christmas tree that grows—in a theater where every seat provides visual and audio delights for all ages.
