Unless otherwise noted, concerts are held in The Eli and Edythe Broad Stage or in The Edye, both located at the SMC Performing Arts Center (PAC) at Santa Monica Blvd. & 11th St., Santa Monica. Advance tickets for concerts with an admission charge may be purchased online (www.smc.edu/eventsinfo​), by phone at (310) 434-3005, or in person at the SMC Theatre Arts Box Office (Theatre Arts Complex, SMC Main Campus; limited hours). A modest service charge applies. Tickets may also be purchased at the door 45 minutes before event start time. 

Seating is strictly on a first-arrival basis.

A Day in the Blues
Join SMC music faculty Terry Carter and The Tomcats—virtuoso Steve Trovato on guitar, Terry Carter on guitar/vocals, Robbie Fontana on bass, and John Atkinson on drums—for an amazing session of classic blues. The band puts its twist on blues standards written and performed by legends such as Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson, Jimi Hendrix, The Allman Brothers, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Magic Sam, BB King, Johnny Cash, and more! Complimentary tickets available at the SMC Music Office (PAC 211).

 SMC Symphony Orchestra 
James Martin, Director. The March concert features Los Angeles baritone John Atkins as guest artist for a romantic program of music both happy and sad, mixing great works by Brahms, Saint-Saens, Borodin, and Mahler. The May concert features Borodin’s Symphony #2—a romantic favorite—and also, for the third year running, performances by a selection of highly talented high school soloists from the Westside Music Foundation.

Dido and Aeneas by Purcell
SMC Opera Theatre, directed by Janelle DeStefano and the SMC Chamber Choir, directed by William Belan join forces to present a full production of Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas, with scenes from Durón’s baroque zarzuela Salir el amor del mundo. In these beautiful stories of love and heartache—performed with baroque period instruments—Diana, the Huntress, tries to force Cupid from the world just as Dido tries to keep love from her heart.
