Your SMC Student Network Account
With your SMC student network account you can:
- Use Library databases from off-campus
- Use computers in the Library computer lab and other computer labs on campus
- Use an SMC student e-mail address
- Access campus wireless with your laptop or other device
How to Get It
Corsair Connect assigns you a username and you will choose a password for your account. Write down your username and password and keep this information secure!
Your username is usually lastname_firstname, (e.g., smith_john) but may include your middle name or middle initial. Make sure you use the underscore "_" between the parts of your name.
How do I access Library databases from off-campus?
Go to the Library Databases page. You will be prompted to login when you select a particular database if you are off-campus.
How do I use my SMC e-mail account?
Login to Corsair Connect to see your email.

I forgot my username or password
You can always check your username by logging into Corsair Connect and scrolling to the bottom of the page where your network username and SMC email address are displayed. If you forgot your password, go to Corsair Connect and select "I cannot access my account" below the login prompt.
My account doesn't work / I am still having problems

Can I change my password?
Yes, you can, in Corsair Connect.
I am skipping a semester; will I lose my SMC account?
Yes. Accounts are disabled the first semester (Fall or Spring) that a student is not enrolled. Your account will not be disabled if you skip the Winter or Summer sessions.
