The Santa Monica College Small Business Development Center is part of a 38-center network throughout California. These centers all function to serve the small business owner and entrepreneur. The SMC SBDC offers a wide variety of services for present and potential small business owners. Counseling services are confidential and free of charge.
MISSION: The mission of Santa Monica College's Small Business Development Center (SMC SBDC) is to provide quality management and technical assistance for small businesses, resulting in success for the entrepreneur, and economic growth and prosperity for all Californians.
The Santa Monica College SBDC is dedicated to:
Assisting with small business start-up
Helping businesses expand and develop
Promoting minority and women-owned business
Creating and retaining jobs
FACILITIES: SMC SBDC currently has secured sites at two facilities, the Santa Monica Airport location, and the Cooper Design Space in downtown Los Angeles. We also occasionally use space at the Santa Monica College Bundy Campus. At these locations, workshop training, and counseling services are provided.
