Promo Pathway Program 2017-2018

In just 1 year, students will have the opportunity to complete 9 courses or 27 transferable units and learn from individuals who are leaders in the industry. Our contextualized classes and SMC's partnership with PromaxBDA allows us to expose our students to fast-changing cutting edge strategies in television and media marketing. Students who complete this program earn a Certificate of Completion and will demonstrate their ability use digital video and audio workstation skills to edit, write, and produce on-air promos.

Application Process

Our program has a vetting process that includes an application, a brief interview, and a finalist day event. The interview will be done in person or via Skype or Facetime and the finalist day includes 50 finalists invited to submit and share a short assignment with SMC administrators and television industry professionals.   

  •   Application Deadline : July 2, 2017, 12:00pm
  •   Finalist Day : July 21, 2017, 9:00 am- 2pm
  •   Semester/ Classes Begin :  August 28, 2017
  •   All student accepted will be full-time students for the  Fiscal Year 2017-2018.
