About the Communication Studies Program

Master the Art of Persuasion with a Career in Communication Studies


Communication and media studies is an extremely versatile field with many career applications. Courses combine theory and praxis, encouraging students to apply classroom concepts to real world contexts. This far reaching program prepares you for entry level roles including marketing manager, editor, copywriter, advertising and promotions coordinator, PR specialist, market research analyst, reporter, correspondent, and more.


From the outset our program addresses communication theory while helping you build strong oral communication skills. Study the dynamics, nuances and cultural differences in communication between individuals in society as well as among various groups. Understand global communication trends and how they impact consumer purchase decisions. You will also present your ideas and arguments in a variety of contexts in preparation for personal presentations, upper division coursework and workplace settings.
