A Swiss native, Delphine Broccard teaches Communication Studies. She earned her B.A. in Communication Studies with minors in Spanish and Religion from Gustavus Adolphus College, in St. Peter, MN. Her master's degree is in Intercultural Communication from Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA, where she taught as a visiting faculty in the Communication division for three years. Prior to finding her niche in teaching, she worked as a Public Benefits & Housing Advocate on behalf of Latino and working class communities in Brooklyn, NY.
Her experience includes teaching undergraduate courses in public speaking, communication ethics, rhetoric & social influence, communication research, small group communication, interpersonal communication, intercultural communication, gender & communication and communication theory. An avid traveler, Professor Broccard believes in the transformative power of studying abroad and has served as a faculty leader on the South Africa program.
