Medical Laboratory Technicians are skilled individuals who are responsible for conducting laboratory tests accurately and efficiently in order to facilitate accurate diagnosis and high quality patient care. MLTs work in a medical laboratory environment where they assist in the preparation and analysis of human blood, tissue, cells and other specimens.

The Medical Laboratory Technician program prepares students for the rigors of this exciting, high demand career working in Clinical Laboratories and Biotechnology as MLTs, Laboratory Assistants, and Research Technicians. The MLT program consists of didactic lectures, student laboratories and clinical rotations. Classes provide specific theoretical and laboratory experiences in Clinical Chemistry, Immunology/Serology, Microbiology, Hematology, Coagulation, Immunohematology, Specimen Processing/Receiving and Body Fluids.
