Political Science Major Requirements

Objectives
    The objectives of this program are to prepare students for upper division study at a four-year college and/or to earn an associate in arts degree.

  • University of California, Berkeley
      Complete as many lower division major requirements as possible before transfer. In general, applicants are selected primarily based upon strength of academic preparation and grade point average.
      Political Science 1, 2; History 11 or 12; History 1 or 2 or 35 or 36 or 22.
      Students must complete Political Science 1 and Political Science 2 (or the comparable courses) plus two other lower division requirements in order to declare this major.

Associate in Arts
Degree -- 60 units
    Transfer students in this major who wish to qualify for an associate in arts degree should select the Liberal Arts - Social and Behavioral Science major.
