Writing and Humanities Tutoring Center

The Writing & Humanities Tutoring Center (WHTC) offers writing support services to all SMC students in all subject areas. Our goal is to help students become more confident, self-directed, and informed writers so that they can achieve greater academic and professional success.

Subjects for which tutoring is available in the WHTC:
  • Economics
  • English
  • ESL
  • History
  • Logic (Philosophy 7 and 9)
  • Writing for any class

The Center is located in Drescher Hall--Room 313.

WHTC Hours Fall 2016​
​Monday-Thursday​ ​8:30 am - 5:30 pm
Friday​ ​9:30 am - 2:00 pm

 

Writing assistance is offered on a walk-in basis, or you may make an appointment. See the Writing Tutor Schedule for Fall 2016 for available times.

Help Wanted: Tutors with specialties in writing, economics, history, philosophy, psychology, or political science. Applicants must be full-time students (carrying a minimum of 12 units) at Santa Monica College. Please fill out a tutor employment application.
