​​​​Transcript Policies

  • Transcript orders will NOT be processed until all outstanding debts and/or holds are cleared.

  • In accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, records may not be released to a third party without the written, signed authorization of the student.

  • Student must be present and picture I.D. is required to order and pick-up transcripts in person. 

  • Rush transcripts held for pick-up will be retained for a maximum of 30 days. If they are not picked up within the 30 days, they will be destroyed and the cost will not be refunded. Reordering will be subject to all applicable fees.

  • The first two transcripts (lifetime) ordered are free. This free service is available only for in-person orders, not for online orders.

  • Regular service transcripts cost $5.00 each. RUSH transcripts cost $15.00 each (Note: FEDEX orders are only available when ordered online through TranscriptPlus®). A minimal service fee will be added in addition to the aforementioned College fees for internet orders through TranscriptPlus®.​

  • Transcript orders cannot be held for missing grades.

  • Costs for transcripts ordered online.

  • Costs for transcripts ordered in-person: Fi​rst two copies are FREE. Additional copies are $5 per copy.

  • Rush Service costs $10 in addition to the regular $5 transcript fee for a total of $15 per copy.

  • "On The Spot" transcript service is offered for a $27 fee. This option can only be made in person.​

Academic and Progress Renewal

  • Students may petit​ion for academic or progress renewal of substandard or withdrawal coursework, which was subsequently repeated at another institution. More information on Academic and Progress Renewal Policy.

  • Students may request to have up to two substandard grades discounted from their SMC GPA if a third enrollment or more in the same course took place during the period of Summer 2007 - Spring 2012 and the resulting grade was an “A”, “B”, “C”, “D”, “F”, “Cr”, “NC”, “P” or “NP”...
