Registration and Enrollment for Dual Enrollment Classes
Admissions to Santa Monica College and class registration are required prior to enrollment in any class. Registration includes submission of a fully completed Admissions Application and a Dual Enrollment Consent Form, signed by the student, the student’s parent and a representative of the high school. Once an Application and Approval form have been received and processed by the College, only then will a student be considered eligible to enroll in a class.
Completion of Class/Withdrawal Deadlines
Once enrolled in a Dual Enrollment class, a student must complete all required work in order to pass the class successfully. Grades are assigned based on completion of all assignments and the quality of the student’s work. Should a student choose to withdraw from a class, he or she must do so it accordance with the timelines set forth on the class calendar. The calendar will be passed out to the students on the first day of class. Additionally, the length of the class will dictate the deadline for dropping the class.
Please take careful note of the withdrawal deadlines; if you neglect to officially withdraw from a class on time, you many receive a failing grade, which will remain on your college transcript!
Please use the class calendar to obtain actual dates.
