Extention of Benefits

When, as result of an Injury or Sickness, an Insured incurs covered expenses upon the recommendation and approval of a licensed physician, the Company will pay the amount of the covered medical expenses actually incurred up to 1) or 2), whichever occurs first:

1. The maximum dollar amount stated in the policy; or
2. The termination date of the policy subject to the following Extension of Benefits: If an Insured is hospitalized on the date of termination, benefits will continue as long as he or she is continuously hospitalized, up to a maximum of 13 weeks.

This Extension of Benefits provision is applicable only to the extent that the Insured will not be covered under this or any other student health insurance policy in the ensuing term of coverage.
