Office Mission
The Office of Institutional Research at SMC strives to support the college's mission and commitment to student learning and success by providing quality, accessible, reliable and relevant information to facilitate decision-making and planning processes, enhance institutional effectiveness, and promote a culture of evidence-based inquiry.
 
Access Data and Reports
College Data: Access data tables and charts related to student demographic and background, student achievement and success, and course enrollment information.

Reports: Access research briefs and reports related to accountability measures, basic skills, career and technical education, program review, student support services and programs, and institutional effectiveness.

Data Marts & External Links: Access links to data marts in support of program review and find regional, state-wide, and national education data.

Request Data Assistance

Research Request Form: Request research and data assistance. The Office of Institutional Research assists campus employee, programs, committees, and others in designing, conducting, and analyzing research and data. For internal use only.

Request to Conduct Original Research: Request approval to conduct research involving original data collection on human subjects who are students, faculty, or staff. For IRB approval.
