IMPORTANT - Please Read
Welcome to the on-campus Student Employment Opportunities website. Here you'll find a list of available jobs in various departments. At the top of each job description you will see the words *Federal Work Study and/or *Student Help. Below is an explanation of what these terms mean:
Federal Work Study (FWS) is only available to students who have applied for and received Financial Aid. You must have completed the FAFSA and received an award letter. If you are an F-1 Visa student, you may not apply for FWS positions. FWS students are paid 100% through their Financial Aid Award letter.
Student Help: F-1 Visa students can apply for all Student Help positions. Many of these positions require that you already have a Social Security Card. If this is not stated in the job advertisement, contact the department directly for their requirements. Student Help employees are paid 100% through the departments they work in. Not all departments have a Student Help budget.
All on-campus positions pay $8 per hour and students can work up to 20 hours a week during the Fall and Spring semesters. Students may increase their hours (with supervisor’s permission) during the Winter and Summer sessions.
A note on printing: Santa Monica College is an environmentally conscious campus. This site does not allow for printing. If you wish to apply for a position listed below, please write the necessary information on a piece of paper. Thank you for your cooperation!
