Only students who are currently part of DSPS may use the Proctor Room
Students must have a Test Accommodation Authorization Form (Proctor Form) on file with DSPS.
To get a Proctor Form you must have brought in official verification of a disability and met with a
DSPS counselor or a Learning Disability Specialist
Students must have returned their completed Proctor Form to DSPS
Students must reserve their space in the Proctor Room at least one day or more before the exam date by submitting a Testing Accommodation Appointment Form.
Tests must be taken on the date and time designated by the instructor, not later or earlier without the
instructor’s written approval. Please be advised that your instructor may or may not accept an exam/quiz taken at an unauthorized time or date.
Contact DSPS at least 48 hours in advance if special equipment or assistance, including a scribe, reader or internet, are required. The scribe or reader will not assist you with the content of the exams/quizzes.
Contact your DSPS counselor/LD Specialist well in advance to discuss arrangements for testing if you must take a test outside regular Proctoring Room hours.
Turn off all electronic devices, such as cell phones, iPods, tablets, etc., that are not allowed in the Proctoring Room.
Keep confidential all aspects of any test when administered at a time different from the rest of the class.
Abide by SMC's Code of Academic Conduct and act with respect and civility as outlined in the Honor Code.
Please remember that the proctor is required to follow the instructions on the Proctor Form. The proctor does not have the authorization to make any changes. Changes by your instructor or counselor/LD Specialist must be completed before you arrive to take your test.

Monday to Thursday: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Monday to Thursday: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.
