What is verification?

Verification means that you have documentation that proves you have a disability. It will be your responsibility to provide such documentation.  However, because each person's situation is unique, the office simply asks that any interested student meet with us.  Documentation requirements vary by situation.  The DSPS counselor will talk to the student about documentation during the initial meeting.  No student should delay meeting with a DSPS counselor out of concern for not having appropriate paperwork.
