Opportunity Program & Services (EOPS) at Santa Monica College is a program
that supports the enrollment, retention, graduation and transfer of students
who are challenged by language, social, economic, and educational
comprehensive state-funded program, EOPS is driven by a philosophy of providing
services that are “over and above and in addition to” services available to all
students. EOPS provides support through counseling, tutoring, financial assistance,
transferring to a four-year institution, priority registration, and more!
for innovative and creative ways to enhance and encourage academic success and
excellence, while fostering the personal growth and development in each
participant. Other support programs available include Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education (CARE), CalWORKs, and Guardian Scholars (foster youth). Information on these programs can

REMINDERS / ANNOUNCEMENTS
- FAFSA 2015-2016. The priority deadline for the 2015-2016 FAFSA and California Dream Act Application is March 2, 2015. Be sure to submit your application by the deadline to be able to qualify for all the aid you can for the NEXT ACADEMIC YEAR!
- Spring 2015 first counseling contact begins February 2 and goes through March 20th. Call or stop by the EOPS office to make your counseling appointment now. Do not wait until the end because appointments will fill up toward the end.
- Need to borrow a book for Spring 2015? Come in and complete a book loan request form.
