Overview of Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS)
EOPS is a special program at Santa Monica College that provides educational and financial support services to eligible students who have historically experienced economic and educational disadvantages.
EOPS assists eligible students in obtaining their educational goals by providing additional support through counseling, tutoring, financial assistance, transferring to a four-year college/university, peer-advising, and other services.
Overview of Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education (CARE)
CARE is a state-funded program designed to recruit and assist recipients of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF-formerly known as AFDC) who would like to attend college. To be eligible, participants must be single parents with at least one child under 14 years of age, who receive TANF benefits for themselves and their children.

- Spring 2014 1st Counseling Contact Begins - February 18 - March 21, 2014. It's that time again! Call the EOPS office to make your first counseling contact.
- Need to borrow a book for Spring 2014? Come in and ask our friendly EOPS staffers for assistance. First come, first served. (For EOPS students only.)
