“Deferred
Action” Providers in Los Angeles
Four trusted
community-based organizations begin processing applications August 15
Los
Angeles – On Wednesday, August 15, 2012, four trusted Los
Angeles-based organizations will begin offering processing services for young
immigrants and their families who apply for “Deferred Action for Childhood
Arrivals” (DACA), a temporary immigration reprieve action that offers young
immigrants an opportunity to work and study in this country for a period of
two years. The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services
(USCIS) will make the application available starting August 15, 2012.
