Students who drive may either park on the main
campus, or use the shuttle parking lots at the Bundy Campus,
Airport Arts Campus, AET or the Performing Arts Center (Madison Music
Campus). Planning where you park is important because street parking in the surrounding
neighborhood is restricted on weekdays and on Monday through Thursday evenings.
Campus parking permits are not
valid on these restricted streets. A valid parking
permit is required to park at any of the SMC parking areas.
Student parking permits for the Main Campus cost
$85 per semester. Permits are sold in-person at the Bursar's Office or online.
If you have purchased a parking decal for the SMC Main Campus, this decal may
be used for parking at any of the satellite and shuttle transit parking areas
Shuttle Transit Parking Decals are free, but may not be used for parking on the
SMC Main Campus. Shuttle Transit Parking Decals are
available at any of the satellite parking locations. Students with disabilities should
contact the Center for Students with Disabilities regarding on-campus parking. A limited number of spaces are
available in Lot 6 (on Pico Blvd, east of 14th Street) for a daily fee of
An important caution: Because car alarms are disruptive to other students and our
neighbors, cars in the parking structure with activated alarms will be
cited/towed immediately at vehicle owner’s expense.
Parking is enforced at all times. A valid permit is required for
on-campus parking or at any shuttle parking location. If you received a parking citation and wish to
contest it, the administrative review form is available at the SMC
Police Headquarters (1718 Pearl Street) or by visiting www.paymycite.com.
