Crisis Counseling Update: June 2013
SMC's Counseling and HR departments would like to remind you that crisis counseling services are still available on campus and via phone.
On-Campus Counseling for Students
Counseling services for students are available in the Psych Services
Center, Monday thru Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity as we know the campus community is experiencing a wide range of emotions.
You may also reach crisis counselors by phone at 866-315-7370. This hotline has Chinese-speaking therapists available for those who are interested.
Counseling for Faculty & Staff
The Employee Assistance Service for Education (EASE) program is available for employees. EASE can be contacted at 1-800-882-1341 for individual counseling sessions, including referrals. EASE is available to come out to the District for group counseling sessions, however their time must be scheduled. If you feel there is a need for group counseling in your area, please speak with your immediate supervisor. Sessions will be scheduled based on need. In addition, please be sure to reach out to your individual health care providers for psychological services.
