TRIO / Student Support Services (SSS) helps students who want to transfer with an Associate of Arts (or AA) Degree to a four-year college or university to complete a Baccalaureate (bachelor’s or BA) degree. Each year, we help SMC students transfer to the UC, CSU and private colleges and universities both in California and out of state.
You are eligible for the TRiO Student Support Services Program if you:
Are a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident of the United States.
Plan to transfer with an AA Degree to a four-year college or university to complete a BA Degree; and
Plan to enroll in English 21A/B and/or Math 31/18/20 in the Fall of 2011 term; or
Are currently enrolled in English 21A/B and/or Math 31/18/20.
Plan to enroll in 12 units in the Fall of 2011 term.
In addition, you must be one (or more) of the following:
First generation college student
Low-income student (student must submit a copy of parents 1040 as proof of income)
Student with a documented learning and/or physical disability; in foster care; or homeless
