CAL DAY 2012
Saturday, April 21, 2012
9am - 4pm
Cal Day-UC Berkeley's annual open house-is coming soon! More than 300 unique events to offer a glimpse of life as a Berkeley student: Labs, classrooms, and libraries are open as are many research museums not normally available to the public. Talks by top faculty, as well as student music and dance performances make this an unforgettable day.
The program features information sessions by many academic departments along with Q&As with current undergrads. Guided tours on the campus, residence halls, libraries, and other sites are always popular. Hundreds of student organizations share opportunities for involvement outside of the classroom. Families will appreciate that admission also is free to Berkeley's Lawrence Hall of Science, Hearst Museum of Anthropology, and the Berkeley Art Museum.
Newly admitted students will receive invitations to Cal Day. A complete schedule of activities will be online by March 29 at calday.berkeley.edu. Recorded information is available at 1 (510) 642-2294.
School groups are especially welcome, and free bus parking is provided. To reserve bus parking, please call 1 (510) 642-5215 by April 13. Public transportation to campus is excellent via BART or AC Transit buses.
