Computer-Based Transfer Resources

Choices

Choices is a California Career Information Database (it is not a website) and can be accessed on any computer in the Career Services Center. Choices has an assessment area where you learn about yourself and careers that may appeal to you. Additionally, Choices has areas where you can find out about occupations, colleges and majors specific to California and includes the outlook and salary of all listed careers in the database.

www.echoices.com is a website with information about specific occupations, education and training options available and decisions about selecting a major. The information is not California based, but instead is based on national statistics. The database includes job outlook, and general salary information throughout the United States. Come to the Career Services Center for the SMC password for echoices.com.

www.bridges.com is a website that includes on-line self assessment with suggested career options, a comprehensive on-line library of easy-to-use career articles and a database of numerous careers throughout the United States. It also includes interviews with individuals in their careers and links to websites for any chosen career or college major. Come to the Career Services Center for the SMC password to Bridges.com.
