Need a new email and/or network account?

The network account and email creation process is now initiated by Human Resources and is sent directly to the IT team.​  This cannot be done until HR has entered all employment information.​ To verify your information please contact Academic Personnel (4415) or Classified Personnel (4415)

You should receive an email notifying you of the new network account within 3 working days.

​Note:  The employee form located at https://acconts.smc.edu/district has been discontinued.

First login after account creation or password reset

  • Your user name is generally LastName_FirstName. For example smith_john.

  • New/reset accounts use this initial password: SMC-####, where #### is the last four digits of your ss#

  • The first time you login, you must change your password.

  • Passwords must be at least 6 characters long and contain at least one upper case letter, one lower case letter, one number or symbol, and may not contain any part of your name.
