To request an account or reset your password, you need your SMC employee id number from the back of your id card.

Need a new email and/or network account?

A network account lets you login to campus computers and access restricted web pages.
The same user name/password also accesses email if you request both.
Click here to request your network/email account.
This cannot be done until HR has entered all employment information.
Check with Academic Personnel (4415) or Classified Personnel (4415).

First login after account creation or password reset

  • Your user name is generally LastName_FirstName. For example smith_john.

  • New/reset accounts use this initial password: SMC-####, where #### is the last four digits of your ss#

  • The first time you login, you must change your password.

  • Passwords must be at least 6 characters long and have at least one upper case letter, one lower case letter and one number.
