You will receive a digest around 6:00am every morning, if and only if new messages were quarantined since the last digest. If no messages were placed in your quarantine box in the past 24 hours, you will not receive a digest. Also, if you have logged in to your quarantine box and viewed its contents, the digest will not be sent.
I need help understanding the spam digest email.
Here is the example of a daily digest...
Deliver - click to deliver this message to you Outlook Inbox.
Whitelist - click to add sender's address to your personal white (allow) list. All future messages from that sender will be delivered straight to your Outlook Inbox.
Delete - click to delete the message from your quarantine box. If you chose to leave messages in your quarantine box, they will be automatically deleted after thirty days.
View - click to view the message.
How do I add email addresses and/or domains to my allowed and block lists?
Log into your quarantine box at https://spam.smc.edu
At the top, click on the "Preferences" tab, then "Whitelist/Blocklist" link.
To add the trusted correspondents' email address or domain, enter it in the "Email Address" field below the "Allowed Email Addresses and Domains (Whitelist)", then click the "Add" button to the right.
To add the spammer's email address, enter it in the "Email Address" field below the "Blocked Email Addresses and Domains (Blocklist)", then click the "Add" button to the right.
Be mindful of the section you are in - Allowed list is at the top, while Blocked is at the bottom
* For example, to add John Smith's AOL email address to your allow or block list, you would enter JohnSmith@aol.com. To allow or block all AOL.com addresses, you would enter aol.com in that field.
How do I log in to check my quarantine (spam) box?
Point your favorite web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari) to https://spam.smc.edu. You will be presented with the login page (see screenshot below). Enter your SMC credentials and click Login.
