E-Mail.
E-Mail is available to all faculty, students and staff. Staff and
faculty can access their email directly from the campus network or via the internet at http://faculty.smc.edu/exchange
Students using Internet Explorer browser can access their email at http://student.smc.edu/loginie.html,
and students using the Netscape browser should access their email at
http://student.smc.edu/loginns.html.
For
assistance, direct your questions to postmaster@smc.edu or call
ext.3011. Also, if you are a student you may request an email account
online at http://accounts.smc.edu.
WWW. Our world wide
web site is growing steadily. Faculty and staff may access the WWW
server to set up a web page by filling
out the form for Faculty/Staff homepage
request.
Faculty Staff
Technology Resources Center*
The faculty & staff computer lab is
located in the Media Center offices. The lab contains both PC's and
Mac's. Office XP, Outlook
XP, Internet Explorer and Netscape are
all installed and ready for use. Image and OCR
scanning is also available for faculty and staff.

Lab Hours are M-Th 7:30am - 9:30pm and F 7:30am
- 5:00pm.
Drop-In Help --
Drop in Fridays, 1 - 3
pm, and get help for all things related to your computer. Edit your
web page, manage your e-mail, scan pictures, create PDFs… we're here
to help!

faculty and employees only.
Cayton Center Student Computer Lab
The Cayton Center houses approximately 100 PC's for student
use. Classes are not scheduled in this lab, so it is available for
students to do homework assignments or research on weekdays and
evenings. For information on hours, policies and other student labs,

Remote Access
There are Now 48 dial-in lines available for faculty
and staff who wish to access the college network from home. Configuring your home computer can be very difficult
even for very computer-savvy users. If however you use a Mac, or a
Windows
'95 or '98 system and you wish to attempt it yourself, please refer to
our Tech
Help Desk web page.
