Applying for Admission

STUDENTS

 

Applications are now being accepted for:

  • Fall 2005 (late start classes only)

  • Winter/Spring 2006 (admission notification will be sent  beginning July 29, 2005)

  • Summer/Fall 2006 (admission notification will be sent  beginning January 20, 2006)

 

Fall Semester is in session August 29, 2005 - December 20, 2005

Winter Term is in session January 3, 2006 - February 9, 2006

Spring Semester is in session February 13, 2006 - June 13, 2006

Summer Term is in session June 20, 2005 - August 12, 2005

The following programs require a different application procedure. Click the appropriate link below for more information:

  • High School Concurrent Enrollment Program - program allowing currently enrolled high school students to take up to 6 units at SMC concurrently with their high school coursework.
  • International Studies - For students planning to attend SMC while on an F-1 visa. 
  • Emeritus College -  Classes are held in a variety of locations primarily for seniors. Contact the Emeritus College for a schedule of course offerings and admission information. 
  • Community Services - low cost classes providing a variety of interests for children and adults.  

PETITION FOR READMISSION

If you have been previously disqualified from a college, you must complete the Petition for Readmission along with your application. Ask for the form if you are requesting the admission application to be mailed to you. We will also need a copy of the transcript from the college where you were disqualified.   

If you completed our application on the web, and did not submit the Petition for Readmission, you can download a copy of the form or complete an online petition form. On the form, be sure to use the ID number that was given to you at the time you finished filling out the application on the web.
