Welcome to the Physical Science Department at Santa Monica College! Our mission is to give our students the best possible preparation in chemistry and physics, enabling them to transfer seamlessly to four-year institutions. Towards that end, we employ a highly dedicated and knowledgeable faculty supported by an excellent technical staff. The departmental facilities are state of the art and include such instrumentation as FT-NMR and FT-IR spectrometers.
