Dr. Andrew Walzer

Andrew Walzer, Ph.D.

Andrew Walzer, Ph.D.Andrew Walzer, a resident of Santa Monica for five years, was elected to the Board of Trustees in November 2006.

Dr. Walzer is a full- time professor at Los Angeles City College teaching Humanities and Interdisciplinary Studies. He has taught there since 2004. Before that he was an adjunct instructor at Santa Monica College, Cal Poly Pomona and Cal State Dominguez Hills.

He is a member of the Executive Board of the American Federation of Teachers, Local 1521, and a member of the Faculty Association of California Community Colleges.

Dr. Walzer graduated with a Ph.D. in American Studies from The University of Minnesota in 1997 and a B.A. in Politics from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 1983.
