Santa Monica College’s Dual Enrollment Program is open to everyone in the community.

The program is geared primarily towards high school students in grades 9 to 12 who are in good academic standing. The student’s high school must consent to the student’s participation in the class, and the student’s guardian must also give consent.
Some classes may have requirements or prerequisites that must be fulfilled prior to taking the class. Santa Monica College requires students who are taking a course with an English advisory to take the English placement assessment and place into level B English (English 21A) or higher.

For additional information regarding required assessments, please visit the Assessment Center website/

Please refer to the current SMC college catalog for courses that have the English advisory.
