Dual Enrollment classes are offered free of tuition to California high school students!

While no fees are charged for attending class, some campus fees including AS, Student Health and Student ID fees may apply.

Textbooks

Students are responsible for purchasing textbooks and any additional materials required for the class.if the class requires certain texts and/or other materials (approximate cost $40-$100), the student is responsible for purchasing these items.

If a student is concerned about purchasing required items, he or she should consult with the class instructor on the first day of class.

Some helpful tips for purchasing textbooks

- Check with your local community college for the textbook. You may be able to buy the book online through the college.
- Visit online vendors like www.amazon.com, www.half.com, www.barnesandnoble.com and many other vendors to compare prices and buy used books to reduce the cost. Please pay attention to the shipping costs and the shipping date when purchasing your book online.

Santa Monica College's Dual Enrollment Program for High School Students offers classes free of tuition to California high school students!
