| The goal of the counseling staff in the SMC Nursing Program is to ensure that Nursing Students have information and access to services provided by the college and the community that they need to succeed in the program.
One of the most important things you can do to ensure your success in the nursing program is to maintain regular contact with a Nursing Counselor.
If you are a currently enrolled in the SMC Nursing Program, you must have at least one face to face appointment with a counselor per semester.

- Academic advising
- Transcript evaluation
- Education planning
- Referrals to program and campus resources
- Review of graduation requirements
