Mentoring

Registered Nurse Mentoring Project offered in Winter and Summer Sessions

NURSNG 90A 1 unit

The Internship Program is designed to provide the student with “real life” experience in their field of study and the work place.  Students work in an approved internship to develop their understanding of their field of study and their ability to apply their knowledge.  In addition, the Staff Nurse Mentoring Internship Program is designed to enhance the confidence level of the student by providing experiences in a controlled but non-threatening manner and to provide some assistance to the staff nurses on the unit.

To Enroll in the Registered Nurse Mentoring Project (N90A)

  1. Enroll in the course N90A. Weekly meetings are on Mondays from 4pm to 5:30pm at the Bundy Campus, Room TBA. The course instructor is Rita Soshnik.
  2. Attend a Career Service Internship Orientation.
  3. Inform Dawn Murphy of your Career Service Internship Orientation attendance date.
  4. Complete Internship Application Forms and bring them with you to the first course meeting.

Funding for this project provided by the State of California's Governor's Nurse Education Initiative WIA 15% Discretionary Grant.
