| The purpose of the Fostering Student Success project is to ensure that currently enrolled Santa Monica College Nursing Students have the supports necessary to successfully complete the nursing program.
In order to achieve this the Fostering Student Success project offers Assisted Tutorials with an experienced RN educator, intensive academic and support counseling, access to simulation equipment and a clinical skills laboratory, mentoring opportunities in partner hospitals, and a Free NCLEX Review course. Other support initiatives being developed include an Student Emergency Fund for nursing students and peer support groups.
We hope by providing these supports that we will increase the number of qualified nurses in the state of California.
