About our Organization

Being active in student government helps to build your own leadership skills as well as being a voice and a representative of Santa Monica College students. The power of Associates Students of Santa Monica College is vested in four bodies: Board of Directors, Inter-Club Council, Joint Council, and Judicial Board.

The Board of Directors consists of 12 student leaders who represent the student voice and make decisions on A.S. policies and expenditure of funds. There is also a public forum at every board meeting to offer students the chance to express concerns directly to Associated Students.

The A.S. Board of Directors Meeting is every Monday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Cayton Center.

This isn't the only way to get involved. We have great opportunities to be an active member through various committees. Please visit the Cayton Center, Room 202 for more information on how to be on your way to active student involvement...
