Corsairs take down the Monarchs, end first half of conference play at 2-4.

The SMC Corsairs took an 8-0 lead on Wednesday night, and never looked back.  After extending the lead to as many as 25 points in the second half, SMC cruised to victory over LA Valley 77-66.  The Monarchs showed their heart and a "never say die" attitude, but ultimately, the pressure defense of the Corsairs was too much.  Bryant Crowder led all scorers with 21 points, and guards Rodney Hudson and Eric Bell chipped in 16 and 15 respectively.

The Corsairs begin the second half of Western States Conference-South play on Wednesday February 3rd vs. Glendale.  The game is at Corsair Pavilion and tips off at 7pm.
