What is a Sustainable Crew ? A "Sustainable Crew" is a group of 10-15 individuals who meet for 1.5 hours, once a week for 9 weeks to learn about sustainability concepts and how to implement residential conservation methods with the help of a trained "Crew Leader" and the "Sustainable Worksbook". The "Worksbook" offers information and recommendations for each of 6 topic areas: water, energy, waste, chemicals, travel/transportation and shopping/food. Each chapter emphasizes resource-use reduction, replacing toxics with less toxic alternatives and increasing one’s understanding of the local, regional and global environmental impact of their daily choices.
