Event Header Expectations
and Resposibilities
The Committee
- Must head three events to complete this committee’s
requirement
Events
- As an event-header, you are representing all of AGS’s
ideals and the entire club at the events you lead.
- You are responsible for printing out maps for all of the
drivers. Please encourage car-pooling, because this
would allow members to get to know one another while saving
gas and reducing parking problems.
- You are responsible for taking attendance (roll call) at
PBS (Pearl Street Bus Stop, across
from the SMC Police Station) before leaving for an event and
taking a second roll call before departing from the event.
- When taking the first roll call at PBS, any member who is
not present will be given a -1 -
meaning one hour will be deducted from their total
hours. If any member does not stay for the entire
duration of the event, they will receive 0 Hours.
- You are allowed to add hour(s) to your event IF AND ONLY
IF the event requires your group to stay overtime by 1 hour
increments. This means, if your group works overtime
more than 30 minutes, you may add 1 hour.
- It is your responsibility to send the list of the
members' names and Student ID numbers of those members who
were present, those who receive -1
and those who receive 0 hours to the Hours Secretary and the
Event-Header Committee Chair. Include the event name,
date, and hours completed. Please email all this
information as soon as possible. You can also give it
to the event header committee chair at the next board
meeting.
- You are responsible for the whole group and ensuring that
they are not mistreated by the organization/people that are
coordinating the event. However, you must make sure
they are completing their event duties.
- You are in charge of the members BUT you are equally
expected and responsible for doing your own share of the
volunteer work.
- If your group is being mistreated/abused by any event,
you have the power to leave that event. Use only when
ABSOLUTELY necessary! Even if you
decide to leave, remain courteous about the situation.
