Program Description
The Computer Science and Information Systems Department is offering a Scholarship Program that provides assistance to current Santa Monica College students who are in high academic standing and are majoring in Computer Science. These scholarships are funded by a NASA/United Negro College Fund Special Programs grant.
What are the Initial Eligibility Requirements to Receive Funding? A student must satisfy all of the following requirements:
- Be enrolled at Santa Monica College with a minimum of 6 units
- Have a minimum G.P.A of 3.0
Priority will be given to students who satisfy one or more of the following:
- Students who are currently enrolled in, or have successfully passed any of the following courses:
CS 3, CS 9A, CIS 9A, CS 9B, CIS 9B, CS 15, CS 19, CS 22, CS 23, CS 25, CS 32, CS 37, CS 41, CS 42, CS 43, or CS 70.
- Minority students.
- Financially needy.
- Disabled students.
- Displaced workers.
- Single-Parent students.
- Women pursuing education.
Three AWARDS/ $1000 each
