The Santa Monica College Symphony Orchestra is a community oriented organization. It is comprised of Santa Monica College students, some advanced placement high school students, and many adult musicians from the community. Under the direction of music professor, Dr. James Smith, concerts are usually given twice each Fall and Spring semesters. Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 to 10:00 pm in the Santa Monica College Concert Hall. If you are interested in playing in the orchestra, or wish to obtain information on upcoming concerts, please call the Santa Monica College Music Office, at (310) 452-9323.
