Newly hired full-time faculty are evaluated during their first (1st), second (2nd), third (3rd), and fourth (4th) year at Santa Monica College.  Tenured full-time faculty members are evaluated every other year (see policy regarding evaluations for more details and long-term substitute procedure).

Adjunct Faculty members will be evaluated during their first semester at Santa Monica College.  Adjunct Faculty are evaluated every four- (4) semesters thereafter by their departments and every fourth (4th) semester by their students.
