This handbook is an attempt to provide brief answers to some of the most commonly asked questions concerning Santa Monica College policies and procedures. Complete copies of the Board of Trustees policies and administrative regulations are filed in the office of Academic Human Resources and other administrative offices. Most departments have their own policies concerning such matters as access to facilities, use of equipment, and textbook selection. Contact your department chair if you have questions about departmental policies. If you need clarification about any of the items addressed in the guidelines below, or if you have questions about any other college policy procedure, please contact your department chair.
