FINAL EXAMS

Each
class is expected to have a Final Exam. A special time schedule is provided for all classes during final exam week, so as to allow three hours for each final exam and minimize conflicts. Please adhere to the final exam schedule so as to avoid time conflicts. If your class has both lecture and lab times, select the final exam time that matches the lecture. Written permission from the SMC associate vice president of academic affairs is required for deviation from the final exam schedule. Final grades (on the grade sheets provided by the college) must be turned in to the Office of Admissions and Records by the date stated on the final exam schedule. The deadline may be extended by prior arrangement with the Dean of Admissions and Records. Instructors are expected to turn in grade rosters as soon as possible. Please note that it would be helpful if you would turn in the grade roster for each class as you finish it, rather than waiting to turn in grade rosters for all your classes together. Thanks for your cooperation. Instructors for summer or winter session classes are expected to administer the final examination during the last or next-to-last scheduled class period.
