Spectacular fireworks, entertainment, booths and more make this a hugely popular event for the whole family. Celebrate the nation's Independence Day early. Free. Call (310) 434-3001. NOTE: Because of construction at SMC's Corsair Field, "Celebrate America" will be held at John Adams Middle School, across the street from SMC, between 16th and 17th streets and between Pearl Street and Ocean Park Boulevard. Entry into the John Adams field is from 16th or 17th Street. The fireworks show can still be viewed from Corsair Stadium, located on 16th Street, between Pico Boulevard and Pearl Street.
