Q: Where can I get free medical attention for the rash I have?

A:  Health Services RN will assess the rash & treat it with over-the-counter medication if needed.  If the rash requires further evaluation &/or prescription medication, the RN will give you an appointment to be seen by the doctor or give you a referral to a local clinic, doctor or dermatologist for further evaluation.

Q: Does Santa Monica College provide health insurance if I'm currently enrolled full time student?

A: The health fee  paid when you registered permits you to use all the services offered in Health Services, including short term psychological counseling.  We give you written  information about optional health and dental insurance.  This information packet can be picked up at the front desk in Health Services.  Mandatory health Insurance for International Students can be obtained at the International Students Office. 

Q: Where can I find information about STI/STDs?

A.  Check out this web site: http://www.medinstitute.org/STDList.htm.  If you suspect a sexually transmitted infection/disease, see your health care provider or call us for local county clinic information that provide free testing & treatment.
