Animated Short: KCRW’s Connie Alvarez & Mother on StoryCorps
KCRW’s Connie Alvarez has been turned into a cartoon. Two innovative animators have taken Alvarez’s interview with her mother that aired on National Public Radio as part of the StoryCorps project and created an animated short from it.

Check out this very cool spec commercial written, directed and edited by SMC film professor Salvador Carrasco. His students were the crew on the project, his daughter Cassandra plays the little girl and the cellist is his son Juan-Salvador.
