Ferro Named KCRW’s New General Manager
Jennifer Ferro, Assistant General Manager of public radio station KCRW 89.9 FM and, has been named the new General Manager of the renowned station. The SMC Board of Trustees on Feb. 20 approved the selection of Ferro, who begins in her new position Monday. More >>

Professional Development Day March 18: “Tides of Change”
“Tides of Change” is the theme of what promises to be a unique and stimulating Professional Development/Institutional Flex Day on Thursday, March 18. With a focus on basic skills, global citizenship and career-technical education, the day will also feature an opportunity for college employees to come together to set a vision for SMC in the next 10 years. SMC Returns to Malibu After 20 Years with Credit Course Offering

Accreditation Team to Visit SMC March 8-11
After a months-long process involving scores of college faculty, administrators and classified employees to create a detailed and thorough accreditation self-study report, SMC will welcome an accreditation team to the campus March 8-11.  Dr. Raul Rodriguez, president of San Joaquin-Delta College (above), is chairing the team.
